Keto Matcha Green Tea Mousse

Besides the fact that matcha is high in antioxidants and it helps speed up metabolism to increase energy expenditure and boosts fat burning, it's also super delicious. Matcha Green Tea has a strong flavor. The heavy cream balances out the matcha green tea. This keto matcha green tea mousse isn't as strong in flavor, but still has a lot of character.

Ingredients

  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tsp matcha green tea
  • 1 tbsp monkfruit sweetener

I like Matcha green tea mousse on its own, but I've also made a recipe for Matcha Green Tea Coconut Mousse. Matcha mousse pairs very well with coconut mousse.

Ingredients

  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tsp matcha green tea
  • 1 tbsp monkfruit sweetener

Preparation

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg white with the powdered monk fruit sweetener till soft peaks form.
  2. Whisk heavy cream and green tea powder until medium to stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in one quarter of egg white mixture at a time.
  4. Transfer the green tea mousse to your preferred serving glass/bowl and set at least 1 hour in the fridge to set.
