Keto Yam Khai Dao

Yam Khai Dao is incredibly easy to make but yet so delicious! It’s a spicy, sour and salty. It’s very refreshing. It’s definitely not a typical salad.

Fried egg salad

Ingredients

For the salad

  • a spoon full of minced pork
  • quail eggs (or chicken if you prefer)
  • cherry tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 small cucumbers
  • a little bit of red cabbage
  • a few lettuce leaves
  • a bit of cilantro

This recipe doesn’t contain all the quantities as it is up to you how much you like to have.

For the dressing

  • fish sauce
  • lime
  • Thai birdseye chillies
  • a pinch of stevia

This recipe doesn’t contain much guidance for quantity as it is up to you how spicy you want it to be. You need equal parts of fish sauce and lime to keep the right balance.

Preparation

  1. Boil or fry the pork till done and set aside to cool.
  2. Wash the herbs and vegetables.
  3. Cut the vegetables into pieces of your preference.
  4. Chop the coriander.
  5. In a small bowl combine equal parts of lime juice and fish sauce and add the chopped chillies.
  6. Fry the eggs and set aside.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the vegetables and pork in one bowl.
  2. Add the dressing spoon by spoon and have a taste before adding another spoon.
  3. Place the fried quail eggs on top. If you used chicken eggs, slice them before placing them on top.
  4. Add the coriander before serving.
